How we calculate this

Open Dental pricing sourced from their publicly available fee page as of April 2026 and may change. Fees reflect their published rates for software license and eServices Bundle (which includes online booking, texting, reminders, eClipboard, and eConfirm) for a single-location practice. Clearinghouse costs estimated at ~$0.25/claim via DentalXChange. Server/IT costs are estimated and vary by practice. tab32 estimates are based on typical per-use rates and exclude optional add-ons (AutoRemind, DashCare, ePrescribe).

Trusted by practices across the country

"tab32 is the single biggest thing in my office that I have used and depended on 100%. It has never let me down and I have been able to level up my office because of it."

Dr. Prab Singh
Owner, Pecan St. Dental

"We've been on tab32 pretty much since it started. As our company grew, we've worked with tab32 to develop support for multiple facilities and mobile dentistry -- and they worked with us really well in the process."

Sarah Luetke
Founder, Sound Dental Care

"Being able to text someone is very important, because people who book online don't want to talk on the phone. All the communications from reminders to prescriptions are in one spot. I like that it's all built in without extra add-on cost."

Your Questions, Answered

Everything you need to know about tab32 pricing and plans.

How does tab32 pricing work?

tab32 starts at $125/mo in Year 1 with our Start-Up Package (up to 3 providers), which includes the full cloud PMS — scheduling, charting, imaging, payments, and HIPAA-compliant cloud. Year 2 onward is $225/mo. AI-powered services (claims, verification, ERA/EOB posting, voice charting) are pay-per-use on top of that. You only pay for the AI services you actually use.

How does the free trial work?

Start a free 14-day trial with your card on file. You get access to the core platform — scheduling, charting, treatment plans, payments, and more — so you can experience tab32 firsthand. X-ray and imaging setup is available once you move to a paid plan. Switching from another PMS? You can initiate your data migration during the trial period so you see your own data in tab32 before you commit. You won't be charged until your trial ends — cancel anytime.

How does tab32 compare to Open Dental?

tab32's Start-Up Package is $125/mo in Year 1 (up to 3 providers, $225/mo Year 2+) and includes imaging, charting, payments, and HIPAA-compliant cloud — no server required. Open Dental's base license is $199/mo, plus the eServices Bundle at $165/mo (texting, reminders, online booking, eClipboard, eConfirm), clearinghouse fees ($0.25/claim via DentalXChange), and your own server ($150/mo in IT costs) — totaling $584+/mo. Try the calculator above with your numbers to see the difference.

What are the AI-powered services?

tab32's AI-powered services include Voice Scribes for exams and recall, Voice Perio charting, real-time insurance verification, ERA/EOB scan auto-posting, and appeals handling. All are usage-based — you only pay for what you use, no minimums, no commitments. This keeps your base cost low while giving you access to powerful AI-driven tools from day one. Contact us for detailed per-use pricing.

What's the difference between Start-Up, Established Practice, and Large & Group Practice?

All plans include the full tab32 cloud PMS. Alpine Start-Up ($125/mo Year 1, $225/mo Year 2+, up to 3 providers) is for new practices starting fresh — self-guided setup, up and running in days. Alpine Established Practice ($225/mo, up to 5 providers) is the same Alpine platform with guided migration onboarding and data migration from your current system (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, and more). Summit Large & Group Practice adds multi-location management, centralized dashboards and claims, cross-location scheduling, and a dedicated account manager — pricing is based on your practice needs.

What systems can you migrate data from?

We support migration from all major dental PMS platforms including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Curve Dental, Denticon, SoftDent, Practice-Web, and many others. Our migration team handles the entire process to ensure your data transfers cleanly.

What's included in the data migration?

The data migration covers the last 2 years of appointments and all associated records — patients, insurance information, payers, treatment history, and X-rays for those patients. Everything within that window is transferred so your team can pick up right where you left off. Contact us for migration pricing details.

What's included in the imaging migration?

The imaging migration is for practices using a standalone imaging system like Dexis. We transfer the images for the patients included in your data migration (the last 2 years of appointments) and link them to the corresponding patient records in tab32. The fee is per imaging system instance — contact us for details.

Is there a setup fee or long-term contract?

No setup fee for the Start-Up Package. Pricing grows with your practice — $125/mo in Year 1, then $225/mo from Year 2 onward. For Established Practice and Large & Group Practice plans, we'll discuss the right arrangement based on your migration timeline during your consultation.

How long does it take to go live?

New (de novo) practices can be up and running in as little as 2-3 days. For practices migrating from another system, plan for 2-4 weeks depending on the complexity of your data. Our migration team manages the entire timeline.

What are AutoRemind and DashCare?

AutoRemind handles automated patient communications — appointment reminders, recall messages, and confirmations via SMS and email. DashCare powers digital patient forms and kiosk check-in. Both are available as add-ons that integrate seamlessly with your tab32 PMS.
